Why Trying to Change the World May Be Ruining Your Life (And What to Do Instead)

Be pragmatic, not ideological.

The world existed before you came.
The world exists while you are here.
The world will exist after you leave.

Don’t get brain-washed into thinking you can change the world. The only thing you can change is yourself. Nothing else. And when you change yourself, you will experience that the world changes for you.

Being intellectually rigid, opinionated, narcissistic, conforming to whatever ideological framework that was installed in your brain when you were impressionable or just being daft by refusing to see the obvious truth – all these lead you to a life of despair, misery and frustration. And this binds you down in a downward spiral.

Be flexible and open minded. Look at the how and why of incidents and moments of your life. Remember that life is not black and white but multiple shades of gray. Most importantly, life and you, are both dynamic, even if they appear static. Embrace change, even if it appears discomforting. And you will see your life is an upward spiral.

Meditation is what brings you awareness of your own self. Meditation is what helps one in moving from being inflexible and ideological to being free and flowing. Once you are aware, then you are no more another lost being in the crowd but an individual who walks through the crowd knowingly and willingly. And that is what makes life a beautiful pleasure.

The crowd creates noise, an individual creates music. Don’t be lost in the crowd, discover yourself. Start your journey of meditation and see how you and your life transform.
