Is Free Will an Illusion? Discover the Hidden Power of Conscious Awareness

Free will is the idea that we can choose, consciously, what we want to do. It means we are in charge of our decisions and not forced by things outside of us or our control. If we have free will, we can be held responsible for our actions because we chose them ourselves.

People have long argued about whether we really have free will. Some say everything we do is decided by things like our culture or our circumstances. Others believe we can still make our own choices, even if these things influence us.

It’s still a big question for many: Are we really free to choose, or are our actions set in motion by what came before? Either way, the idea of free will affects how we see our life, what’s right and wrong, and what it means to be human.

I call this a redundant question. It just shows that the person asking this question is not aware of their consciousness.

Every choice we make or decision we take is affected by many factors, the most important being – conditioning, fear, greed, education (or lack of it), emotional state and nature, peer pressure, social status etc. Let us first ask ourselves – do we really take all factors into consideration before making a decision? Or do we jump into a decision that appeals to us at that particular moment?

After that, what? The consequences of that decision are evident over time. And we have to bear them. They either tie us down to do things we do not like or free us to do things which we like.

The truth is that we are neither dependent nor independent. We are interdependent as we are all interconnected. As long as we are on this earth physically, we will always be interdependent with everything around us. Once we accept and understand this truth, then we are not bothered about questions like free will.

We understand that all the circumstances and situations that come into our lives are nothing but stepping stones to help us expand our awareness and consciousness and enjoy this journey of life.

A conscious person is aware about their inter-dependency with the world around them. They understand that they are players in the game of life. And the game of life is to be played as well as possible, before they exit the game.

This understanding comes as the consciousness of a person rises. And the easiest way is meditation. Meditation ensures that your consciousness is always sharp. A sharp consciousness opens up your life to myriad possibilities – both worldly and beyond.

Take the first step to expanding your consciousness. Start meditating daily. And see how life unfolds in a beautiful manner.
