Wealth – what is it? Why do we need wealth in our lives?

Wealth can be said to be an abundance of valuable resources or assets that provide security, freedom and fulfillment in life, allowing the individual to live life more or less on their own terms. And that is the main attraction of wealth – to do what you want without bothering about what will happen tomorrow.

Hence a lot of people put in a lot of effort and time to get wealthy. And once they get wealthy, they forget why they wanted to be wealthy and get stuck in doing more of the same, which basically takes away the differentiation factor of wealth! In other words, what’s the use of your wealth, if you cannot use it to do what you really want to do.

Wealth is considered to be of the following five types –

  1. Financial wealth (money)
  2. Social wealth (status)
  3. Time wealth (freedom)
  4. Physical wealth (health)
  5. Spiritual wealth (peaceful mind)

Financial wealth is lots of money and things you own, like houses or investments. It keeps you safe from money worries, lets you buy what you want, travel, help others and build a good future for your family without stress.

Social wealth is high respect, power and friends in important groups. It helps you get better jobs, lead people, feel like you belong and have doors open that others can’t reach because of your name and connections.

Time wealth means no strict schedules or duties bossing you around. You choose how to spend days – resting, doing fun hobbies, being with loved ones or just relaxing fully present, without rushing or watching the clock.

Physical wealth is top health – strong body, lots of energy, no pain and feeling great every day. It lets you run, play, enjoy food tastes, live long and do anything active without getting tired or sick easily.

Spiritual wealth is calm inside peace – no big worries or anger taking over your thoughts. You feel thankful, clear-headed, wise, connected to something bigger and truly happy from your heart, no matter what happens outside.

The five wealths – financial, social, time, physical, spiritual – matter equally. To have just one of the five wealth’s, is a poor state of being wealthy! To be truly wealthy one must be able to explore (if not have) all the five wealths.

The first four wealths – financial, social, time, physical – there are plenty of ways to achieve them. What is important is spiritual wealth and how to attain it.

The easiest way to get spiritual wealth is the path of meditation. Once you start your meditation journey, you go deeper within yourself. You start to know and understand who you really are and what matters to you. That leads you to becoming aligned with your subconscious and unconscious self. This internal alignment in turn creates a very powerful external worldly alignment, freeing you up to do what you really want. And that’s when the real journey of life begins.

Don’t get lost in your wealth. Use your wealth to be free and independent. Live life fully on your own terms.
